Location: UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center - Steamboat Springs

Department: Operating Room

Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $44.00 per hour plus travel package/stipend

LOCAL Traveler contract options available for those who reside within 75 miles

13 week assignments available

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED or military trained
  • Surgical Technologist program
  • State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration
  • 1-year experience
  • BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.


Responsibilities:

  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
  • Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
  • Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
  • Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
