- Must have robotics experience.
- CVOR experience is preferred.
- Scrubbing and circulating experience are required.
Description:
Unit includes 8 operating suites.
Two of the suites are used for cardiovascular surgeries.
The team performs over 700 open-heart surgeries each year.
Nearly 2,400 orthopedic procedures are conducted, including 350 joint replacements.
Team members must hold BLS certification.
Techs are required to be certified surgical technologists.
Rapid response time for call is expected to be 30-60 minutes.
Staff is required to work holidays as part of the permanent rotation.
Provided scrubs must be changed before leaving the facility.
Navy or business casual attire is required when coming to work.
Shifts may vary between 0630-1700 or 1200-2230.
Common types of cases include general orthopedics, neurology, urology, appendectomies, and cholecystectomies.
Robotics experience, particularly with da Vinci systems, is mandatory.
Staff is required to be on call, typically one day a week, as well as every third weekend.
Call during the weekend requires a 24-hour commitment.
Charge nurses are available to relieve breaks during shifts.
The electronic medical record system used is Cerner.
No float staff is required.
Orientation for techs lasts a maximum of 3 days before they work independently.
Scrubbing is required for all surgical technicians.
For sterile processing positions, certification is mandatory.
