Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the RESOURCE MANAGEMENT DIRECTORATE of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.

Duties

Help

  • You will Serve as the Special Programs Budget Officer, provides management, advice, and expertise on all phases of Operations and Maintenance (OM) POM and budget and administration of multiple funding streams.
  • You will review requirements, justification, and prepares estimates of the costs for the various programs i.e. Program Budget Decisions (PBD) and Program Budget Review (PBR).
  • You will prepare, review, justify and defend Unfunded Requirements (UFRS).
  • You will provide technical guidance and recommendations to the Deputy Comptroller, Comptroller and Squadron Executive Officer/Commanding Officer.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Supervising personnel in financial functions; identifying, planning, assigning, and reviewing work while providing technical oversight on budgeting, funding, and adhering to program requirements.
