Full Job Description

We’re looking for aSupply Chain System Advisorto play a key role in supporting and improving the systems, tools, and processes that enable effective supply chain operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, driving improvements, and working at the intersection ofbusiness process, technology, and change.

In this role, you will support the ongoing sustainment of supply chain systems and tools, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement implementation. You will also contribute to process and technology change management activities, helping ensure new solutions are effectively introduced and adopted. As an integral partner in theManage Goods & Services Process, you will act as a process champion, helping the business understand, apply, and continuously improve best practices.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor9s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including craft labour, services and materials procurement, material movements, repairables, warehousing, and inventory
  • Experience supporting enterprise procurement and contract management platforms, invoicing systems, and purchase order lifecycle management; experience with Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, Fieldglass, and myTrack is considered an asset
  • Strong business analysis, reporting, and data analytics capabilities, with the ability to connect interdependent data elements and develop technical and process solution designs
  • Proven experience supporting end-to-end initiatives from requirements definition through implementation and user adoption
  • Root cause analysis skills, ability to drill down into data to identify specific systems and process issues that result in process failures and propose effective mitigation solutions

Responsibilities:

  • Manage intake, triage, and prioritization of enhancement requests and complex business/technical issues, translating business needs into actionable requirements and serving as a senior escalation point for non-routine issues
  • Conduct advanced analysis to identify trends, root causes, and business conclusions; present recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
  • Lead cross-functional SCM initiatives across Suppliers, Finance, HR, Operations, and IT to resolve complex data, integration, workflow, and access issues, and represent SCM in enterprise forums
  • Provide oversight of change and project management for upgrades and enhancements, including planning, readiness, stakeholder engagement, training, and hyper-care
  • Influence stakeholders to support compliance with SCM processes, policies, and standards, while contributing to continuous improvement through leading practices, benchmarks, automation opportunities, and future-state technology roadmaps
  • Challenge existing process design and SCM system architecture to improve P2P performance and reduce rework

Location and other Key details:

  • This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
