About the role:A recent promotion has created a great opportunity for a Supply Chain Project Manager based in our Franklin Park, IL manufacturing facility and headquarters. In this role you will collaborate with sourcing, quality, production, materials, sales, marketing, finance, and the product development teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the supply chain aspects of project delivery is done in a timely and accurate fashion at all Sloan locations. This role is critical to the success of New Product Development
What you will do:- Creates risk management plans to identify, analyze, monitor, and respond to risks associated with the project.
- Communicates and presents project status to team and stakeholders.
- Master Data Management (MDM) Subject Matter Expert for Materials along with general understanding of other cross functional MDM areas
- General understanding of all cross functional steps in the ER and NPD process
- Set up new parts in the system and work with peers to set up physical locations
- Execute material responsibilities for engineering changes
- Determine and implement supply strategies for new products including development and execution of PFEP (Plan for Every Part).
- Plans, directs, and coordinates supply chain activities (issuing PO's, product approval, arrival and disposition of manufactured and purchased products, etc.) of projects to ensure the project goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame. Projects include, but are not limited to NPDI, ECN, Inventory improvement, and special orders.
- Handle and monitor scrap transactions and process. Work with auditors as needed on inventory process.
- Responsible for deliverables, monitoring, communicating statuses and issues of projects
- Update and maintain the material master database, enter changes, additions, ABC codes, safety stocks, minimums, lot sizes, etc.
- Interpret forecasts and determine safety stock, lot sizes, Kanban quantities, QR's and minimums to maximize fill rates and minimize inventory based on data from various reports.
- As SAP Power User, answer questions, help with instructions, develop procedures and train on how to perform the necessary and accurate movement and disposition of materials within SAP
What you will need:- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ Years Inventory, purchasing, and Production Control Experience
- 5+ Years Project Management Experience
- Advanced level experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Advanced level experience working with SAP or similar ERP Business System.
- Demonstrates clear, professional, and respectful verbal and written communication in all interactions, consistent with an inclusive work environment.
- Formulates clear decision criteria; evaluates options by considering implications and consequences; chooses an effective option.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to build team cohesiveness and work cross functionally to achieve results
- Demonstrates a high level of competence in interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extremely high proven competence in organization and planning skills.
- Preferred qualifications include: Logistics (APICS, ISM), Project Management (PMP, IPMA) Advanced level experience working with Microsoft Project. Experience managing cross-functional projects across multiple locations.
