Full Job Description
Summary

The Supply Chain Project manager serves the point contact person in charge of specific projects within Dialight Global Supply Chain Management. The task will include plan, budget, monitoring and report on the project(s), as well as cooperate with all other department functions internal and external of SCM group. The project manager is the bridge between upper management and the teams tasked with the actual execution of the project. They make sure the scope of the project is sound, reporting regularly on the progress of the project and that it is staying on the approved schedule.

The assigned projects will include but not limited to global supply chain coordination, inventory management and monitoring, supply chain analytical, KPI, process improvements. The role will coordinate internally with all cross functional leaders in corporate, and externally with all supply chain managers located in all factories.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manage large datasets, perform analysis, maintain trackers, and develop reports that support planning and operational activities.
  • Analyze inventory, purchasing, and supply chain data to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and support business decision-making.
  • Maintain planning data, including safety stock levels, target inventory values, and product lifecycle changes, ensuring information is accurate and communicated to all collaborators.
  • Create and process purchase orders while ensuring accurate documentation and timely execution of procurement activities.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with internal colleagues and external vendors to promote effective communication and operational alignment.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Operations, Procurement, Finance and other cross-functional teams to generate and validate sales forecasting, tollgates, and ensure processes are completed in timely manner.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies while maintaining the integrity of multiple business systems and data sources.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve tracking tools, reports, and business processes to increase efficiency, visibility, and data accuracy.
  • Coordinate team communications by distributing reminders, operational updates, and critical planning information to ensure alignment across departments.
  • Train and mentor new team members on business systems, data sources, reporting tools, data management practices, and departmental processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and implementing data-driven solutions to improve operational performance.
  • Ensure timely completion of recurring and ad hoc analyses, reporting, purchasing activities, and operational requests while meeting business deadlines.


Qualifications
  • BA degree in a business or supply chain with min 5 years experiences in supply chain fields of demand planning, purchasing, or production control.
  • Relevant industry experience either in material planning, logistics or supply chain ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Good knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes and components and good understanding of supply chain management
  • Proven IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of using ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong analytical and data mining skills
  • Strong Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Provide information and data with a full understanding of how failure impacts the production, manufacture and customer order fulfillment
  • Excellent organizational, communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with emphasis on accuracy and detailed.
