Supply Chain Process Mgmt & Data SME

Position Summary
The purpose of the Business Process Management & Data SME - North America is to design, govern, and continuously improve end-to-end supply chain processes to ensure alignment with business objectives and operational excellence. This includes:
• Standardizing and governing processes for planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and S&OP.
• Building organizational capability through training frameworks and role-based competency development.
• Enhancing supply chain network design by evaluating distribution footprints, transportation flows, and capacity constraints to support long term strategic planning and cost optimization.
• Optimizing inventory performance to balance service levels, working capital, and cost-to-serve.
• Embedding KPI governance to link operational metrics to strategic outcomes and ensure accountability.

Key Outcomes/Responsibilities
Outcome: Integrated, reliable planning process that aligns demand, supply, and financial targets.
Actions:
• Define and enforce S&OP process standards, roles, and meeting cadence.
• Implement advanced forecasting and scenario planning tools.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment between commercial, operations, and finance teams.
Outcome: Consistent, documented processes across all supply chain functions.
Actions:
• Develop and publish end-to-end process maps and SOPs for Plan/Source/Make/Deliver.
• Maintain governance for process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deploy Lean/Six Sigma methodologies for efficiency and waste reduction.
Outcome: Skilled workforce with sustained adoption of processes and tools.
Actions:
• Design and implement a training architecture (train-the-trainer, certification paths).
• Approve instructional content and update cadence tied to process/system changes.
• Benchmark capability gaps and deploy targeted interventions (coaching, simulations).
Outcome: Balanced inventory levels that minimize working capital while meeting service goals.
Actions:
• Define inventory policies (MTS/MTO, safety stock, reorder points).
• Monitor and drive actions on KPMs for inventory turns, DII, stockout rate, and SLOB inventory.
• Collaborate with planning and procurement to adjust parameters based on demand signals.
• Conduct network-wide inventory modeling to determine optimal stocking locations, multi-echelon safety stock levels, and replenishment strategies.
• Partner with logistics and manufacturing to evaluate network constraints and redesign flows that reduce lead time variability and improve service reliability.
Outcome: Transparent performance management linked to business objectives.
Actions:
• Define KPI tree (OTIF, Perfect Order, Schedule Attainment, IRA, Cost-to-Serve, DII, SLOB).
• Set calculation logic, review cadence, and escalation protocols.
• Define automation and predictive analytics for proactive decision-making.
Outcome: Optimized supply chain network that minimizes cost-to-serve while improving service performance
• Actions: Conduct network modeling (transportation, warehousing, production flows). Evaluate capacity, lane performance, and distribution footprint scenarios. Recommend structural changes to reduce logistics cost, improve responsiveness, and support growth.
