Cadence Inc. in Cranberry, PA is seeking a skilled and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to oversee the flow of goods, resources, and information, ensuring the smooth operation of critical supply chain processes to meet organizational goals and KPIs. This role involves coordinating with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, and transportation to optimize the supply chain, resolving bottlenecks, and overseeing supplier performance.

Position Purpose:
The Supply Chain Manager will lead material management, resources, production scheduling, and information, ensuring the smooth operation of critical supply chain processes to meet organizational goals and KPIs. This role ensures that materials are available to meet production demands while minimizing costs and maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role involves coordinating with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, and transportation to optimize the supply chain, resolving bottlenecks, and overseeing supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Materials Management: Develop and implement materials management strategies to ensure timely availability of materials for production and minimize disruptions. Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to materials management, such as inventory turnover, order accuracy, on time delivery, order fulfillment lead time, compliance rate and supplier performance. Manage and resolve any issues related to material shortages, delays, or discrepancies.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Developing and implementing material plans, forecasting needs, and managing production schedules.
  • Supplier Management: Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and assess supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Logistics Management: Oversee transportation and warehousing operations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, analyze trends and adjust stock levels to meet production requirements, while avoiding excess or obsolete inventory and reducing carrying costs.
  • Talent Management: Lead and mentor a team with responsibilities including material handling production scheduling, procurement, customer service, and shipping & receiving.
  • Cost Management: Reducing material costs through negotiation, optimizing inventory, and improving efficiency.
  • Customer Service: Understands and prioritizes customer needs, ensuring that materials management supports timely production and delivery.
  • Sales and Operations Planning: Manages site S&OP process to support effective and predictable performance.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize SCM software to enhance decision-making and supply chain visibility.
  • Risk Management: Assess supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to optimize supply chain processes and drive efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, management or other relatable degree or comparable experience.

  • Proven 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment (5+ direct reports) in supply chain operations, with experience developing a team
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics), MRP, and data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of materials management principles, inventory control, and procurement processes
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Physical Demands:
