Full Job Description
The Supply Chain Manager I leads a team responsible for managing the supply base and ensuring support for company programs. This role involves establishing priorities, coordinating with various departments to meet production schedules, driving supply chain innovation, and ensuring the achievement of material, planning, and production objectives.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of subcontracts management specialists and subcontract managers, ensuring alignment with SNC's business objectives and program requirements.
  • Oversee all phases of the subcontract lifecycle-including sourcing, proposal, negotiation, contract administration, and closeout-ensuring compliance with SNC policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Drive effective negotiation of subcontractor pricing, schedules, terms and conditions, and milestones to secure optimal outcomes for SNC and support program success.
  • Proactively identify, develop, and manage a robust supply base to meet current and future program needs, promoting supplier performance, quality, and reliability.
  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce cost, enhance operational efficiency, and effectively manage risk within the supply chain.
  • Collaborate across SNC functions-including program management, contracts, legal, and executive leadership-to align supply chain activities and resolve complex issues.
  • Advise leadership on contractual rights, obligations, and risk mitigation strategies, serving as a key subject matter expert for subcontract requirements and flow-downs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive material business plans, forecasts, and capital or facility requests to support evolving program and organizational needs.
  • Establish, monitor, and communicate supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in operations or a related area.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 11 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
  • Proficient negotiations skills.
  • Candidate must have Supply Chain Management skills.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
  • Prefer a candidate with development, production, and customer logistics support experience skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in Contracts or Subcontracts within the Aerospace and Defense industry, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
  • Proven success managing high-value, complex subcontracts-including firm fixed price and cost-plus development agreements-as well as teaming agreements in a dynamic program environment.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance.
  • Experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P)/Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems.
