The Supply Chain Manager I leads a team responsible for managing the supply base and ensuring support for company programs. This role involves establishing priorities, coordinating with various departments to meet production schedules, driving supply chain innovation, and ensuring the achievement of material, planning, and production objectives.
Responsibilities:- Lead a team of buyers, subcontracts management specialists, and category leads, ensuring their performance aligns with company objectives.
- Define, develop, and improve the supply base to support program requirements.
- Develop and execute material business plans and forecasts to meet program needs.
- Collaborate with executive management, program management, and other departments to align supply chain activities with company objectives.
- Identify, mitigate, and resolve supply chain risks and issues to ensure program success.
- Drive supply chain innovation by leveraging current procurement systems and exploring new technologies.
- Set, measure, and communicate supply chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive visibility and achieve goals.
- Prepare capital, contract equipment, and facility requests based on program and company demands.
Qualifications You Must Have:- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in operations or a related area.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 11 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
- Proficient negotiations skills.
- Candidate must have Supply Chain Management skills.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
- Prefer a candidate with both development and production experience skills.
- In-depth working knowledge of commodity , Category and Sourcing Management.
- Background in manufacturing timelines and requirements.
- Ability to read and understand technical requirements.
- Experience working in Supply Chain supporting government contracts.
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance.
- Experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P)/Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems.
