Full Job Description
SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of the company's inventory, purchasing and shipping departments. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the planning, procurement, storage, control and distribution of materials and products to company needs and customer requirements. This position will organize production schedules in response to customer demand and sales forecast while focusing on cost reduction and improving efficiencies. The position will interface with Sales, Quality, Manufacturing/Assembly, Engineering, Customer Service, and Finance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Researches and gathers vendor data for analysis regarding products, quality, price and manufacturing capability.
  • Monitors vendor performance and develop programs for improvement as needed.
  • Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for materials to ensure sufficient inventory of products to satisfy customers' needs.
  • Coordinates with customers, suppliers and manufacturing to monitor and maintain lead time and schedules.
  • Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts and customer orders.
  • Maintains and ensures accuracy of the on-hand inventory system.
  • Leads annual physical inventory and cycle counting program.
  • Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods.
  • Ensures timely delivery of orders to customers.
  • Performs other duties and assignments.
