DIS-TRAN Steel is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead purchasing, sourcing, inventory control, logistics, warehousing, and supplier performance operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, and continuity of supply to support production and customer delivery needs. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, optimize supply chain performance, and collaborate across departments to support operational efficiency and company growth while leading procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and manage supply chain strategies that support operational and business objectives.
• Oversee procurement, inventory management, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, and material planning activities.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of direct and indirect materials required for operations.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance metrics.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, project management, and operations teams to forecast material demand and production requirements.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure continuity of operations while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures, cycle counts, and support inventory audits.
• Oversee receiving, stocking, pulling, staging, and distribution processes for materials and products.
• Ensure ERP system accuracy related to inventory, procurement, receiving, and supply chain transactions.
• Analyze supply chain data and develop reporting metrics related to inventory turns, supplier performance, delivery performance, and cost savings initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement process enhancements across supply chain functions.
• Develop and document supply chain policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
• Coordinate logistics activities to ensure timely inbound and outbound shipments.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, contracts, and service expectations.
• Manage supply chain risk through contingency planning and supplier diversification strategies.
• Collaborate with quality and operations teams to resolve material quality and delivery issues.
• Supervise all supply chain personnel; ensure staff is trained, qualified, and cross-trained to support business operations.
• Manage time and attendance for direct reports and approve time away from work to ensure operational continuity.
• Continuously coach and evaluate direct reports; conduct KRA reviews, 1:1 meetings, and performance evaluations.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and operational updates.
• Support organizational growth initiatives through scalable supply chain infrastructure and planning.
• Responsible for internal customer satisfaction related to supply chain performance and responsiveness.
• Ensure purchase orders are processed accurately and timely.
• Monitor and manage freight costs and transportation performance.
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives and cost reduction efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma is required, Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Technology, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 8+ years of supply chain, procurement, logistics, warehouse, or inventory management experience preferred.
• Experience with industrial products, manufacturing environments, customers, and vendors is required.
• Leadership and direct people management experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
• ERP experience required (Epicor experience preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work in industrial and warehouse environments as needed.
• Clear motor vehicle history is required.
