Description
As Director of Supply Chain, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for all supply chain functions, including:
• Supply Chain Planning
• Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
• Inventory Management
• Production Planning
• Logistics & Distribution
• Supplier Performance & Development
You'll partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales to ensure materials and products flow efficiently while meeting customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute the company's overall supply chain strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
• Lead and develop high-performing teams across planning, purchasing, and logistics.
• Drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to improve forecast accuracy and capacity planning.
• Optimize inventory levels while maintaining exceptional customer service.
• Establish strategic supplier partnerships and negotiate favorable commercial agreements.
• Improve supplier quality, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness.
• Lead initiatives focused on operational excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor key supply chain metrics and implement actions to improve performance.
• Partner with Operations to support new product introductions, production ramp-ups, and capacity expansion.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, customer, and internal quality requirements.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while developing business continuity strategies.
• Collaborate with Finance on inventory controls, working capital, and cost reduction initiatives.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive supply chain, or related field, leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading managers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical, or similar), preferred
• Strong knowledge of procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier management.
• Demonstrated success implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (EPICOR)
• Strong analytical, financial, and business acumen.
