Job Description: 

This role is responsible for developing and executing commodity and supplier strategies that optimize cost, quality, supply continuity, and technology alignment for PC and Server platform power solutions. The position leads supplier engagement, market intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver competitive and resilient supply chain solutions aligned with Intel platform requirements, while creating above-market value for Intel and its customers.

Key responsibilities:


1. Commodity Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with Intel platform requirements and customer needs, including cost, availability, quality, technology, and sustainability objectives where applicable.

  • Continuously monitor market dynamics and adjust supplier strategies to mitigate risks and ensure supply continuity for Intel platforms and customer products.

  • Conduct regular reviews of supply chain strategies and align with Intel stakeholders on long-term roadmaps.


2. Supplier Management

  • Build and sustain strategic supplier relationships, and coordinate supplier support for Intel platform enablement validation, reference design development, customer design-in, and volume ramp activities.

  • Lead commercial engagements, including pricing, contracts and statements of work, to achieve cost optimization and favorable business outcomes.

  • Drive supplier innovation and collaboration to enhance Intel platform competitiveness and accelerate technology adoption.


3. Cost Optimization and Value Creation

  • Define and execute cost-reduction initiatives, including benchmarking, enable lower cost options.

  • Establish cost targets and roadmaps in alignment with Intel platform requirements.

  • Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimize total cost of ownership for platform solutions.


4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with silicon engineers, platform engineers, validation engineers, and customer engineers to align component solution requirements and enabling decisions.

  • Influence reference design decisions to balance performance, cost, and supply availability and resilience.

  • Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective material acquisition.

  • Work across a global supply base, using strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

5. Supply Assurance

  • Identify supply risks, including capability, cost, and geopolitical factors, and develop mitigation plans.

  • Coordinate with suppliers to address customer shortages and maximize Intel SoC revenue realization through ODM and OEM customers.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $91,060.00-180,820.00 USD

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
