Job Summary SMSI is looking for a Supply Chain Business Partner to support work for our client. This will be a unique role with responsibilities that support the Supply Chain Program Manager and team. Various responsibilites include administrative functions (i.e. attending meetings to represent the Supply Chain Organization and expedite delivery of parts). The position will be based in Oak Ridge, TN. This is a full-time position onsite 5 days per week/8 hour a day schedule. No travel is expected for this position.
Responsibilities- Continuously participating with Engineering, Purchasing, Source Inspection, and other project colleagues to provide value added input throughout the supply chain process (pre-award and post-award).
- Collecting information to develop critical action reports as required for routine project reviews.
- Coordinating and scheduling, as necessary, field expediting assignments, Engineering, or Construction visits.
- Monitoring in process internal submittal reviews by Engineering to ensure timely review, approvals, and return to suppliers to maintain contractual schedules.
- Maintenance of project files, related documents/reports, correspondence of all expediting activities.
- Monitoring field expediting assignments, as required.
- Development and submittal of expediting reports to Supply Chain Program Manager
- Communicates and initiates resolution of supplier issues.
- Monitors receipt inspections after delivery to ensure inspection issues are resolved in a timely manner and assists in resolution any delivery issues including, but not limited to, working with suppliers to acquire missing material and missing quality documentation.
- Attending meetings, taking detailed notes and providing information to managers.
Required Skills/Abilities- Q Level Clearance or have previously held a Q clearance within the past two years.
