If you are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer position, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! In this role, you will work with global manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams to drive supplier quality excellence, improve supplier performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will partner closely with Category Management, Global Engineering, Supplier Performance, and Site Quality teams to support supplier selection and approval, strengthen quality requirements, resolve supplier quality issues, and drive sustainable improvements. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem solver with strong analytical, communication, and quality skills who is passionate about building strong supplier relationships and improving quality across the global supply chain.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Provide supplier quality leadership, technical expertise, and project management to drive supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead pre-technical and technical reviews with suppliers throughout the part development process. Review quality requirements during the initial RFQ stage, track First Article Inspection (FAI) and first production lots, and ensure process capability is established for critical features.
  • Support and actively participate in the Supplier Qualification process by providing internal quality expertise and evaluating and approving new suppliers.
  • Verify the effectiveness of supplier Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and ensure timely, sustainable resolution of identified issues. Monitor monthly supplier scorecards to assess quality performance and trends for critical suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier process audits to promote process standardization, eliminate waste, and drive continuous improvement through statistical quality tools, including Cpk/Ppk, GR&R, FMEA, and other applicable methodologies. Resolve supplier-related quality issues and nonconformances while identifying and managing supply chain risks.
  • Review and approve First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation in collaboration with Engineering and communicate approval and feedback to suppliers.
  • Drive manufacturing and quality improvements across both existing and new suppliers to improve overall supplier performance.
  • Support supplier development projects to achieve quality, delivery, and lead-time objectives. Build supplier understanding of Emerson's quality requirements and provide product or process training as needed.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Equivalent experience supporting supplier quality, manufacturing, or supplier development activities.
  • Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop and implement plans and solutions ensuring continuous improvement.
  • OR Expertise in PCBAs and motors manufacturing and test process
  • Knowledge of GD&T interpretation, wiring diagrams, and CMM operations.
  • Ability to build effective supplier relationships and engage internal stakeholders through strong communication and influencing skills.


Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • ISO Lead Auditor certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting one or more manufacturing processes, including castings, machining, metallurgy, welding, springs, stampings, forgings, or similar industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in the manufacture of valves, actuators, or other quarter turn industrial equipment
