This is a hybrid role based inKohler, WI, requiring on-site work 3 days per week.Responsibilities: - Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams in the process of developing products and supporting production of currently released products.
- Perform robust supplier evaluation and audits to verify suppliers are qualified before selection for new business
- Assist procurement in the selection of the right supplier for each part.
- Review Engineering drawings for accuracy and manufacturability.
- Communicate directly with suppliers and manage supplier quality relationships.
- Develop and implement actions to address poor performing suppliers.
- Directly support continuity of supply to production when supply chain concerns arise.
- Problem solving of complex issues.
- Engineering root cause analysis.
- Gain Functional knowledge of the commodities/processes served. (Commodities served by the team as a whole include aluminum diecasting's, cast iron, Rubber/Gaskets/Hoses, Steels, Plastics, Powdered metals, Electronics/wire harnesses, Fuel systems, Hardware, Stampings, etc...)
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
- 2+ years of experience in engineering, quality, or manufacturing related role.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles.
- Proficient in advanced problem-solving techniques. Six Sigma Black belt or Shainin Master certifications desired but not required.
- Global supplier audit experience and familiarity with multiple manufacturing technologies desired but not required.
- Advanced knowledge of spark ignited engines including carburation, electronic fuel injection and mechanical governing. desired but not required.
- Proficient knowledge of home energy products including gensets, controllers, transfer switches, and interface desired but not required
- Knowledge of GD&T Desired. Training will be provided if necessary.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, or equivalent required (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

The Salary range for this position is $89,800.00-$114,100.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
