  • Support supplier onboarding, development, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate customer-specific requirements flow-down to suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance with scorecards and implement continuous improvement actions.
  • Conduct source inspections and verify new product introductions.

Full Job Description
Position Summary

ITT Enidine is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team in Orchard Park, NY. The Supplier Quality Engineer will participate and lead MRB activities, manage supplier performance, perform source inspections & audits, and manage NPI verification activities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support Material Review board (MRB) activities, including:
    • Investigate supplier rejections
    • Manage SCAR's
    • Coordinating return-to-vendor (RTV) activities
    • Tracking corrective action status
  • Serve as primary quality owner for high-risk suppliers.
  • Review and disposition supplier deviations in collaboration with engineering and operations.
  • Manage assigned suppliers within the Approved Supplier List (ASL)
  • Lead supplier audits and on-site assessments
  • Drive supplier performance improvements using scorecards and metrics
  • Assist supervision in establishing and maintaining supplier performance metrics and reports
  • Support supplier onboarding and development.
  • Review FAI submissions and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Assist suppliers with development of control plans/inspection plans
  • Mentor SQEs and inspectors and influence cross-functional teams
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives impacting DPPM, OTD, Scrap and cost
  • Ensure robust flow-down and compliance with customer-specific and regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant supplier quality or manufacturing quality experience.
  • 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience leading supplier corrective actions and root cause investigations.
  • Experience working directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive improvement.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace, defense, industrial, or regulated manufacturing experience
  • AS9100 quality management system experience
  • Supplier audit experience
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.

Equal Pay Act Range

Annual salary range is $83,000 to $124,000, plus benefits and incentives.
