Summary:As a Supplier Quality Engineer Level 2, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products and materials supplied to our company. This mid-level position involves conducting supplier audits, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain supplier quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics and provide feedback for improvement.
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing systems, repair process procedures, quality improvement programs, and design for manufacturability concepts.
- Ability to establish effective partnerships with internal customers.
- Support new product development and supplier selection processes.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with suppliers regarding quality expectations and requirements.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to supplier quality activities.
Other information:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of product development, quality assurance, supplier quality engineering, supplier quality performance systems and engineering documentation.
- Proven experience in supplier quality engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations up to 10%
