bout the role:
The client is looking for a hands-on Quality/Supplier Quality Engineer who can troubleshoot defective parts in the field and at the supplier/manufacturing level.
Supplier Quality / Field Quality Engineer with 5-10+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment, industrial equipment, aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing, with strong hands-on failure analysis, RCA/8D, GD&T, metrology, machining and sheet-metal knowledge, plus supplier quality and incoming inspection experience.
- Perform field failure analysis on parts identified by customer
- Verify correctness of quality issue
- Perform RCA on the identified part or related part
- Find immediate countermeasure to manage line
- Hands on segregation and measurement of on-hold parts
- Identify countermeasure for permanent resolution
- Good understanding of GD&T and associated metrology and measurement techniques
- Understanding of RCA methods and 7QC tools
- Hands on experience in metrology and understanding of part manufacturing processes, specifically machining and sheet metal
- Knowledge on electronic parts qualification and incoming part approval process
