Job Description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Identify, analyze, develop project plans, actions and metrics associated with the performance improvement projects with a select group of suppliers.
  • Perform value stream mapping with key suppliers.
  • Use SIPOC [Supply Input Process Output Customer] or other structured [Lean technique] problem solving techniques.
  • Forecast consolidation
  • Optimize lot size
  • Stocking programs
  • Seek to eliminate Non-value add activities
  • Regularly interact and follow up with suppliers on performance issues.
  • Regularly interact with materials management at the sites
  • Participate in planning of on time delivery and lead time reduction projects
  • Assess supplier capabilities to ensure supplier is able to reach the level of performance, capability and capacity required to meet our business needs.
  • Work with assigned SQE to help identify and resolve any quality issues with targeted supplier.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical, Business or other related field OR 4 years industry experience in lieu of degree
  • 5 + years of Purchasing, Materials, Engineering, Logistics or Manufacturing (exempt position) experience
  • Experience in Purchasing, Materials, Engineering, Logistics or Manufacturing (exempt position)
  • Technically proficient to collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Materials, Supply / Demand Management as well as all levels within the supplier's organization.
  • Must be able to optimally connect with senior leadership and other cross functional teams across cultural/geographical boundaries.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% travel, including international travel.
  • Only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 22 CFR a7120) may be considered.
