Duties

Help

• You will plan, assign and distribute work, delegating appropriate tasks to employees and ensuring they meet assigned duties as prescribed in their position descriptions.
• You will manage minor disciplinary actions to effectively resolve issues and recommend other actions for more serious matters.
• You will prepare performance evaluations for review and approval by the TRP Manager.
• You will assist in the development and implementation of plans for current and projected programs to achieve goals and objectives.
• You will report any identified concerns to the TRP Manager and propose changes for approval.
• You will recommend corrective actions and support follow-up inspections.
• You will help clients relate their values, interests, abilities, and skills to opportunities for employment, education, vocational/technical training, credentialing, life skills and DoD SkillBridge opportunities.
• You will actively engage the clients to support their retention of knowledge by conducting interactive demonstrations throughout lectures and facilitating guiding activities, hands-on exercises, and group discussions.

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• This position requires the incumbent to have a valid, state-issued driver's license. If located OCONUS, the position requires a SOFA driver's license.
• Must be able obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ability to manage, organize, coordinate and prioritize multitude of tasks and multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously. Skill in preparing documentation and presentations in the proper format following naval correspondence rules of grammar and punctuation. Ability to operate a personal computer and associated peripheral equipment and software. Highly proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software suites.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
