The primary purpose of this position is to exercise 1st level supervisory and position management responsibilities over subordinate employees within the 422SCMS/GUMB. Directs work activities through subordinates with responsibility for maintaining a current knowledge and guiding subordinate employees to provide advice, accountability, and expertise on a continuous basis.
DUTY 1: Exercises 1st level technical and administrative supervisory personnel management responsibilities for 25% or more of duty time over subordinate employees predominately in the General Administrative, Clerical, and Office Services Group and journey level or higher.
DUTY 2: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
DUTY 3: Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.
DUTY 4: Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

Additional Position Requirements:
1. The work requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
2. Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall. Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties.
