Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Logistics Support Coordination Branch (SP206) of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS.

Duties

Help

  • You will supervise, direct, and coordinate the work of the Branch to include serving as the first-line supervisor to the assigned Section Heads.
  • You will be responsible for administering an effective personnel program, establishing new jobs, establishing performance standards and evaluating
    performance, requesting appropriate personnel changes.
  • You will exercise full supervisory authority and responsibility for the Branch in identifying long-range plans and establishing objectives and goals for assigned functions and programs.
  • You will assure reasonable equity of performance standards and rating techniques developed for the Branch.
  • You will represent the Branch and SSP in dealing with other Navy organizations, and SSP Headquarters offices and Field Activities as
    applicable.
  • You will act for the military Branch Head in his /her absence and works in tandem with the Branch Head on matters regarding the interpretation of policies and the development of programs to support command objectives
  • You will define the material support roles and responsibilities of SSP organizational elements, and of other DOD organizations in support of SSP.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.


Qualifications

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrate strong technical foundation in defense logistics prior experience with SSP, Navy, or similar DoD Programs proven leadership & supervisory experience, high-level communication & influence skills, strategic thinking & policy development ability; the ability to manage complex and face multi-agency problems.
