Summary

Join DCSA as Branch Chief, Realty & Supply Management in the Logistics Management Office. In this vital leadership role, you will direct a multidisciplinary team overseeing the agency-wide office supply program, administering building leases, and managing inter-agency facility agreements. By standardizing operational processes and modernizing support workflows, you will relieve administrative burdens on field personnel and empower DCSA's missions across the enterprise.

As a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Supervise and direct a multi-functional, geographically dispersed team; assigns work, establishes performance standards, and fosters professional development to ensure mission accomplishment.
  • Direct day-to-day operations for supplies, realty, and logistics support programs; establishes operational policies, procedures, and performance metrics across the enterprise.
  • Plan, justify, and coordinate organizational resource requirements (supplies, equipment, and services); collaborates with financial and acquisition authorities to ensure timely execution.
  • Oversee real property requirements; coordinates inter-agency agreements (MOUs/MOAs) and partners with external federal entities such as General Services Agency and United States Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Analyze operational data to produce executive briefings, reports, and evidence-based recommendations that support agency leadership in strategic resource allocation and decision-making.
  • Lead the agency-wide office supply program; manages distribution methods, workflows, inventory controls, order fulfillment, and replenishment strategies to support customer-centric enterprise operations.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.

You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GG-13 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.

Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.

Specialized experience for this position includes:

  • Planning, establishing, managing, or optimizing operational, logistical, or property management programs, including developing workflows, policies, and performance metrics.
  • Identifying, planning, or coordinating resource requirements (such as equipment, supplies, services, or space), including defining operational needs, managing funding/budgets, or coordinating with acquisition and procurement personnel.
  • Leading, supervising, or directing teams or project groups in an operational, program management, or mission-support environment, including assigning work, establishing priorities, and evaluating performance.
  • Analyzing operational or logistical processes to standardize and centralize workflows, eliminating administrative burdens on customers, field, and/or operational personnel.
  • Leading and supervising a multidisciplinary team of logistics, supply, and support professionals, including establishing performance standards, assigning workloads, and fostering professional development.
