Full Job Description
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist (GG-0346-13) to work at the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, Logistics Branch, JBSA-Lackland, San Antonio, TX.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned logistics professional with comprehensive knowledge and experience in Department of Defense (DoD) logistics operations, supply chain management, warehouse operations, transportation management, and cargo distribution. The candidate demonstrates exceptional leadership in directing complex logistics programs, managing diverse teams, and ensuring mission readiness through the efficient movement, storage, accountability, and distribution of personnel, equipment, and materiel.

The successful candidate possesses extensive experience developing and implementing logistics policies, managing organizational resources, improving operational efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal regulations, DoD directives, and transportation policies. They are recognized for building collaborative partnerships, leading organizational change, mentoring employees, and making sound decisions in dynamic, high-tempo environments..

Key Position Details:

Salary: $108,001 - $140,403

Travel: Up to 25% travel

Remote Work: No remote or telework

Position Type: Permanent position

Leave: Creditable leave accrual

Experience: 10+ years' desired experience

This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.".

This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employees must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

Position is designated critical-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

This position is Acquisition Category L- Life Cycle Logistics Level III and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position.

The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments

Employee may be required to work overtime.
