- Reviews NETCOM, Major Army Command (MACOM), and Army Command (ACOM) requirement documents to ensure compatibility and interoperability and ensures successful migration of new information systems into the joint communications system environment.
- Coordinates and discusses technical modernization initiatives of multiple information systems and technical applications with Brigade and Network Enterprise Centers (NEC), and 7th SC to obtain acceptance of system fielding plans
- Represents the brigade at conferences, meetings, working groups, and professional seminars concerning solutions of specific programs.
- Plans and coordinates total systems engineering, implementation, and integration efforts on behalf of the command.
- Assigns work based on priorities, requirements of assignments, and capabilities of employees.
- Monitors the work progress of the teams within the Division to assure program integration objectives are met, making necessary technical adjustments to accomplish program direction.

- In accordance with DoDM 8140.03 and supplemental Army guidance, the employee must obtain and maintain the following requirements for each Cyber work role (except Data, AI, and/or Software Engineering) at the assigned proficiency level: 1) Foundational qualification requirements within 9 months, 2) Resident qualification requirements within 12 months, 3) 20hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) per work role code (which can overlap).
- This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program in accordance with AR 600-85. Signing of a DA Form 5019 (Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program) acknowledging periodic random drug testing requirements is mandatory prior to being placed into this position. Those individuals not currently occupying a TDP position must successfully complete a pre-appointment drug test prior to being placed into this position and periodically thereafter.
- Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest.
