DutiesHelp
- Serve as the DoDEA Inspector General (IG), promoting the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of DoDEA programs, functions and operations.
- As the Inspector General, oversee all investigations and inquiries into complaints and issues affecting DoDEA and its employees, and plans and oversees the conduct of major inspections and audits concerning the DoDEA's programs and systems.
- Execute inspection, audit, assistance, investigative, and teach/train functions on matters critical to the DoDEA Director following four standards: independence, accountability, completeness, and timeliness (IACT)
- Manage the work performance of all assigned personnel.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Directing the operation, management and administration of an Office of the Inspector General (IG); Overseeing investigations and inquiries into complaints and issues affecting an Agency and its employees; Planning and overseeing the conduct of major inspections and audits of an Agency's programs and systems; Providing advice and guidance on ways to improve operations, morale, and discipline, and accomplishment of Agency's objectives; Performing the full range of supervisory duties for assigned personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
