Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FACILITIES & LOGISTICS MANAGER with USMC, Marine Corps Systems Command MARCORSYSCOM.

Duties

Help

  • You will serve as principal technical advisor for multi-year facility programs, directing the planning, development, management, and execution of facility and logistics missions.
  • You will consult with supervisors and other key staff members to develop efficiencies, improvements, and solutions to problems, resolution of operational and engineering issues, coordinate work efforts, and assure optimum mission accomplishment.
  • You will actively participate in interpreting and implementing broad program policies and directives promulgated by higher authority.
  • You will be responsible for the presentation of maintenance operations operation budget(s) reflecting monetary requirements.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

-Knowledge, understanding and skill in applying board range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning

equipment, facility and service operations with complicated technical requirements which generally have no

clear precedents.

-Knowledge and understanding of operations, objectives, and policies required in performing a wide variety

of analytical studies and projects related to facilities management improvement, management controls and

long-range planning.

-Ability to communicate both orally and in writing sufficient to prepare written policies, guidance and

directions and to explain, defend and justify decisions and recommendations to higher level management;

to lead meetings and make presentations.

-Experience in team building involving professional and administrative employees from a variety of command

and functional background areas.

-Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and policies that affect the area of specialization.

-Skill to negotiate effectively for acceptance and implementation of recommendations involving substantial

resources.

-Ability to effectively manage and supervise a staff of professional, technical, and/or administrative

employees.
