Software Engineering Branch Chief (559 SWES/MXDPB)
Lead the elite engineering team responsible for the brain of the aircraft. As a 1st-level supervisor, you will direct the end-to-end design, integration, testing, and lifecycle sustainment of Operational Flight Program (OFP) software, pilot-evaluation simulations, and hardware-in-the-loop systems that keep Air Force weapon systems lethal and secure.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance.
- Subject to recall during non-duty hours, weekends, and holidays to complete proposals and/or resolve software problems
- Designated as a Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP)
- Required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty if needed
-Obtain & maintain an appropriate Cyberspace certifications
- Drug testing designated position
Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
1. Professional knowledge of electronics engineering and/or computer science concepts, theories, principles, and practices and working knowledge of other disciplines, such as aerospace, industrial, mechanical, and/or electrical engineering; of a broad range of engineering standards, precedents, methods, and techniques to ensure work in compliance with regulations and standards; and the applicability of such knowledge to the full range of duties concerned with design, production, and maintenance of Operational Flight Programs, Automated Test Systems, Test Program Set Software, and other systems used to support the warfighter and weapons systems program offices.
2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures.
4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
5. Knowledge of budgeting, procurement, standard configuration and finding regulations, practices and processes related to system acquisition and sustainment management functions.
