About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 7th Signal Command, 106th Signal Brigade, Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Duties

Help

• Evaluates the effect of cost and program changes on the budget execution process to provide advice to commands on budgeting
• Communicates the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values to employees to expand their understanding
• Provides input to higher headquarters for the command budget or a portion thereof
• Prepares monthly reports covering status of funds by operation as required to better inform the command

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required of the position. Multi-occupant PD with different security clearance levels, refer to sequence number PD for security clearance requirement and drug testing requirement.
• Position requires up to 25% TDY.
• Overtime may be required during unique situations and or during year end budget closeout.
• This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in DoDI 1400.25 V3005, Cyber Excepted Service, Employment and Placement.
• Subject to completion of 1 year probationary period for assignment to supervisory (or managerial) position unless the appointee has previously met the requirements.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by Performing budget analysis functions for assigned programs or organizations; Recommending funding solutions to improve budget execution; Providing advice and guidance to managers on the use and administration of funds; and Preparing and presenting budget reports, recommendations, and briefings to support management decisions.
