Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Inpatient Bed Placement Center.
  • Supervise Bed Placement Coordinators to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Update and maintain databases utilized by staff.
  • Manage daily throughput activities and staffing alignment decisions.
  • Provide clinical expertise for decision-making on patient care settings.
  • Facilitate achievement of established goals for the Bed Placement Center.
  • Assist with patient placement through inbound and outbound calls.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Job SummaryProvides oversight and departmental leadership (employee development, quality improvement, processcreation, scheduling, and other tasks) in the Inpatient Bed Placement Center. Supports services byupdating, researching and maintaining databases utilized by staff. Direct supervision of Bed PlacementCoordinators to ensure adherence to all policies and procedures. Will facilitate all goals established forBed Placement Center and provide leadership role in day-to-day operations. Manages and executesdaily throughput activities. Oversees staffing alignment decisions in CCSO. Oversees bed placementcoordinators and acts as clinical expertise for decision making when clinical judgement is needed forlevel of care and/or care setting. Also, maintains responsibilities for assisting with answering incomingand making outbound calls that assists with patient placement in Hospitals.
