Job Summary: A Senior Supervisor for the Maritime Power Systems Division, Philadelphia location, is responsible for the management of an operations function. Ensures we meet quality control standards while maintaining schedule and cost requirements to meet customer contract requirements. This individual will report to the Maritime Power Systems Sr. Mgr. of Operations in Philadelphia.

Essential Job Functions & Duties
  • Direct work of employees to meet quality and on-time delivery requirements; address production challenges and communicate to appropriate leadership in a timely manner.
  • Implement and sustain success metrics, incorporating best practices, and effectively communicating improvements
  • Monitor team productivity and provide constructive feedback, mentorship, and performance management as needed
  • Perfom schuduling and timekeepping for direct reports or others as assigned.
  • Overseeing staff work and ensuring that employees meet weekly or monthly production commitments while being able to proactively communicate and recognize any work stoppages or obstacles that may arise
  • Maintaining a company percentage expectation of Direct Labor Utilization and being able to work and align with the Union CBA guidelines
  • Communicating with team leaders to ensure task completion by deadlines while assuring alignment to the definded Hours Per Unit (HPU)
  • Working alongside the Continuous Improvement Team's direction as we strive to better the workflow, cleanliness and overall appearance of the shopfloor. (includes participation in Kaizen events, 6S initiatives, etc)
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Supply Chain, and other functional organizations across the Philadelphia Site to manage product flow
  • Other direction as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience or inlieu of a degree. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or iln lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience in an Operations function leadership role

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or similar field
  • 5 years' experience in manufacturing environment
  • An effective communicator at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to identify performance issues and implement the necessary changes in a timely and effective manner
  • Good technical skills to recognize and solve assembly and related production problems to maintain workflow
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of manufacturing methods, lean methodology, production planning, quality management systems
  • Experience in union environments

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $76,500-146,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
