Key Responsibilities:Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Manufacturing Supervisor to support the Packaging Department to ensure the company's goals and initiatives are met. The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring team compliance with all safety policies, maintaining product quality and sanitation standards, as well as optimizing operational efficiencies to support the blending and production. We are looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- We are seeking a candidate based in City of Industry, CA
- The home shift for this position will support 2nd shift (1:30pm - 10:00pm) or 3rd shift (9:30pm - 6:00am). Flexibility to work other shifts when necessary is required. 12 hour, weekend coverage rotation every 6 weeks.
Additional responsibilities: - Track operational output measures (i.e. efficiency, yield loss, product quality, inventory accuracy, transactional accuracy), anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of financial targets
- Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- Deliver effective change leadership to drive business changes while minimizing people impact
- Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues
- Motivate team members to achieve plan goals
- Incorporate Productivity, Yield Loss, TPM Continuous Improvement, and Innovation initiatives into Manufacturing strategic plan
- Demonstrate ability to trend and use data to identify root causes and determine countermeasures
- Build people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for frontline hourly personnel
- Develop training and organization capability assessments to support business initiatives
- Support cross-functional strategic plans as needed through implementation and execution
- Regular presence on the plant floor
- Administer policies and procedures
- Tackle ambiguous problems to determine and prioritize business strategies
- Ability to structure and prioritize tasks, and focus efforts in an ambiguous work environment
- Demonstrate ability to implement short and long term strategies to support organizational operation and transformation
- Drive and participate in productivity, waste reduction, and cost savings initiatives
Requirements: - 3-5 years supervising in food and beverage manufacturing
- This role requires off-shift and/or weekend work
- This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, supply chain, or similar field
- Experience developing/coaching hourly staff preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
- Excellent communicator in written and verbal form
- Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity
- Experience in Continuous Improvement
- Experience in analyzing and trending data to identify root causes
- Must have permanent, unrestricted U.S. work authorization (citizen, green card, or unrestricted EAD)

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 annually.
