POSITION SCOPE

Under the direction of the Station Manager, the Supervisor assists in managing the day-to-day field primary and remedial cementing operations on location and at the shop. This position is considered to be a safety-sensitive position. This role encompasses five progressive levels of seniority based on skillset, experience, cross-border capabilities, and leadership responsibilities.

Supervisor 1

Has existing experience as an oil and gas cementing supervisor and in operating pumpers. Able to perform basic primary or remedial job scopes within their home station location. Must be able to competently operate at least one of Magnum's unit types and supervise basic jobs independently.

Supervisor 2

A senior field position with a proven track record of running complex primary or remedial jobs independently and mentoring others. Capable of performing all job types and operating all equipment in their home location. Class 1 (Canada) / Class A CDL (U.S.) license is mandatory.

Supervisor 3

Moves between stations as needed. Competent in all job types (primary and remedial). Ability to obtain a work permit to support cross-station and cross-border operations is considered an asset. Progression into this level requires Executive approval in addition to other position requirements.

Supervisor 4

Specialized position for leaders with a proven commitment to Magnum. Capable of running all equipment and all job types (primary and remedial). Oversees winter project management, special project coordination, and pod leader duties. Must hold a valid passport and be proficient in supervising and operating in both Canada and the U.S. Progression into this level requires Executive approval in addition to other position requirements.

Supervisor 5

The most senior field position in the company. Expert in well kills, blowouts, and high-profile jobs with intimate knowledge of all Magnum products, chemicals, and equipment. Acts as a true champion for Magnum, serving as a station leader who can perform solo dispatch/logistics coordination and step in to handle manager duties in the Station Manager's absence. Progression into this level requires Executive and CEO approval in addition to other position requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

All Supervisors

• Manage and mentor personnel, equipment and materials to ensure they arrive at location on time.
• Execute successful cementing jobs according to design/client specification; understand rigging in/out procedures.
• Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations.
• Ensure critical tasks are completed on every cementing job, including but not limited to measuring the density of cement using a pressurized scale, collecting samples, utilizing radios on location, blowing down all units and P-tanks after every job.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internally with other departments, including Sales and Dispatch.
• Work with station management to maintain operation and service standards and assist in leadership of the Station.
• Evaluate Bulk Drivers and Operators on weekly maintenance requirements and equipment rebuilding.
• Adhere to and enforce company Safety policies and ensure compliance with HSE legislation.
• Prepare end of well, end of month, incident, abnormalities, maintenance, logbook, and end of jobs tickets and reports, or other reporting, as required.
• Verify load tickets and conduct / participate in incident reporting.
• Implement and maintain procedures to ensure high level of service.
• Develop and maintain strong external/internal client relationships in support of company values and objectives.
• Participate in team weekly meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Specific to Supervisor 1's

• Supervise a crew on basic primary or remedial jobs.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate at least one core piece of pumping equipment in scope of home Station (varies by location).
• Complete Supervisor 1 sections of MAP (Magnum's internal competency evaluation program).

Specific to Supervisor 2's

• Supervise a crew on any primary or remedial job that Magnum undertakes.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate all types of pumping equipment in scope of home Station (varies by location).
• Train and mentor current and aspiring Supervisor 1's.
• Complete Supervisor 1 and 2 sections of MAP (Magnum's internal competency evaluation program).

Specific to Supervisor 3's

• Travel and move between stations as required to support operations.
• Maintain basic operational knowledge across lines outside assigned service area.
• Work toward and maintain work permits required for multi-region operations.
• Assist with MAP sign-offs and onboarding new hires at various stations.

Specific to Supervisor 4's

• Demonstrate complete competency across all Magnum equipment and job types.
• Coordinate winter projects and specialty projects (e.g., deep hole, batch mixing, microspheres).
• Fulfill Pod Leader duties and mentor Supervisors 1-3.
• Hold valid cross-border documentation (passport/work permits) and supervise/operate proficiently in both Canada and the U.S.

Specific to Supervisor 5's

• Handle complex well control events, including well kills and blowout operations.
• Maintain intimate, expert knowledge of all parts, products, and chemical blends.
• Fulfill Station Manager duties in their absence, including shop oversight and taking operational calls.
• Demonstrate solo competency as Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator as needed.
• Serve as an exemplary leader, championing Magnum's culture, professionalism, and operational excellence company-wide.

General

• Participate in training and development activities.
• Other general duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Required

• Level 1-5: Experience as an oil and gas cementing supervisor and in operating pumpers.
• Level 2-5: Valid Class 1 (Canada) / Class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Level 3-5: Valid passport, eligible for/obtained work permits enabling work across operating stations / regions.
• Level 4-5: Proven track record of professionalism, leadership, cross-border operations competency, and mentor sign-off history.
• Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate the work of others.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg, bending, standing, gripping, driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly.
• Able to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions.
• Able to be on call 24 hours on a 15-on / 6-off rotational schedule (or as market conditions require), remaining fit for duty.
• Legally eligible to work in the country/region of primary assignment

Looking For
