About the role

Job Description

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the safe, reliable, and proper operation of the facility. The Shift Supervisor would provide coordination of all plant activities between numerous departments and contractors.

Position Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel at the facility.
  • Proper execution of safety policies and procedures.
  • Issue safety permits, as applicable.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with facility maintenance department.
  • Maximize operational performance and efficiency in all aspects of the facility.
  • Train and develop employees on proper process and protocol.
  • Maintain working area within all environmental limits and permits.
  • Supervise a team of employees to ensure safety, compliance, and policies are being followed.
  • Maintain administrative records and hold employees accountable.
  • Ability to respond to any injuries or accidents.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot plant operational issues.
  • Direct completion of shift, daily, weekly, and monthly audits and verifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience in management; or minimum of 3 years of experience in waste processing or related field.
  • Possess 8-hour DOT Certification Training (Or ability to complete).
  • Possess 10-hour OSHA Training (Or ability to complete).
  • Possess 8-hour HAZWOPER Training (Or ability to complete).
  • Must exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and time management.
  • Must be computer proficient and able to operate with Microsoft Suite.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $69,100.00 - $91,900.00 USD per annum
