Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISOR IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the FLEET INSTALATION ENGINEERING & LOGISTICS, 40000 of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Duties

Help

  • You will supervise and lead, professional engineers, technicians, IT specialists, and scientists whose work is scientific and involved with electronic circuits, circuit elements, equipment, systems.
  • You will develop, test, evaluate, operate, maintain, decommission, and/or direct the fabrication, manufacture, and installation of electronic devices.
  • You will Implement policies and standard practices and ensure they are being followed by the team.
  • You will implement and track administrative systems accomplishments, including Defense Travel System (DTS), timekeeping, material purchase/contract/material

    management functions.


Qualifications

I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:

1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Evaluate completed projects and employee's performance to ensure all policies and standards have been followed and meet customer and Centers criteria.

2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Interface with high-ranking military and civilian management personnel successfully.

3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Organizing workflow and ensuring

employees understand their duties and delegated tasks must maintain Cyber security posture.

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Comply with regulations in such areas as financial, property management, prevention of fraud, waste and mismanagement, occupational safety, environmental, security compliance and management control program objectives.

In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band (NM-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Provides assistance in the planning and/or operations in maintenance programs; plans, coordinates, and monitors work assignments of others and evaluates work performance.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.

This position is in the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Human Resource Management System pay band for Department of Defense laboratories.

This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.

The pay schedule and pay band for all Administrative Specialist/Professional Positions will be NM-1/2/3/4/5/6.
