Full Job Description
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE

This position exists to supervise and coordinate the technicians' daily activities and work to efficiently and correctly finish assigned fieldwork. All while sustaining a safe and healthful working environment that meets environmental, health, safety regulations, and company requirements.

II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

Manage and Lead: Develop assigned areas of stewardship for each technician to create a sense of ownership and promote a good working relationship with unit personnel. Maintain knowledge of best practices and provide continuing education opportunities to personnel.

Process Improvement: Assist department engineers with revisions to departmental SOPs. Provide new ideas to promote higher efficiency while keeping costs down.

Facilitate the Fulfillment of Work Orders: Review work orders and work in progress to verify that the correct procedures are effectively used per company standards and safety and environmental standards. Manage, solve, and/or recommend resolving discrepancies, deviations, abnormalities, customer complaints, quality and non-qualify related issues.

Staff Development: Maintain knowledge of best practices and provide continuing education opportunities. Develop each individuals' talents to the fullest, creating an environment that supports collaboration, cross-functional teamwork, and information sharing. Communicate, lead and motivate high-performance expectations, individual initiative, and accountability.

Special Projects: Assist Operations in planning new expansions. Support the pre-commissioning and new equipment startup. Coordinate with various FPC departments for upgrade and repair projects.

THM: Promote cleanliness and order through the implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program. Emphasize Nothing Touch Ground program and No Visual Pollution program. Maintain the plant in like new condition.

III. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education
    • High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the maintenance field in a chemical/petrochemical environment or equivalent required. An Associate (or higher) Degree in related field is preferred.
  • Previous Related Experience Required
    • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Instrument Maintenance field in a Chemical/Petrochemical environment or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job
    • Safety Certification or safety classes a plus but not required.
    • DCS and programming experience a plus but not required.
    • Self-motivated, curious and eager to learn.
    • Willingness to take over areas of responsibilities.
    • General Mathematical skills, Microsoft Office, Writing skills
