Key Position Details:

  • Position will be based out of Cottage Grove but will travel to Allina Health Clinics within Twin Cities Area for project based work

  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period)
  • 10-hour day/evening/night shifts
  • Occasional weekends

Job Description:

Leads and oversees construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects across healthcare facilities. Responsible for managing internal construction staff and external contractors, while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with healthcare regulations.

Plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, functional and compliant care environment by coordinating closely with clinical teams, facilities leadership, and administrative partners. Success in this role requires the ability to effectively manage work in active healthcare environments with minimal disruption to patient care.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Leads and oversees daily construction and renovation activities across healthcare sites, coordinate internal & external construction assets
  • Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations including building codes, ICRA, ILSM, NFPA, and Joint Commission standards
  • Manages project schedules, sequencing, and logistics in active/occupied environments
  • Leads safety programs, enforce OSHA compliance, and conduct site safety audits
  • Coordinates with facility leadership, clinical departments, and stakeholders for project execution
  • Manages project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reporting
  • Supports budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning for construction activities
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required principle competencies as listed on the job description
  • Associate’s or Vocational Degree - In construction trades
  • 2+ years Construction experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years Construction management or supervisory experience


Licenses/Certifications

  • Valid Driver’s License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred
  • ICRA training Certification preferred


Physical Demands

  • Medium Work:
  • Lifting weight up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $40.08 to $54.93 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
