Under the direction of the Laboratory Director and with input from the Chief Pathologist develops plans, directs, coordinates and controls all activities of the Blood Bank and Therapeutic Phlebotomy to ensure the efficient operation of that section that meets and exceeds the customer's expectations.
Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a section supervisor in a hospital laboratory setting.
- Performs a wide range of routine and complex laboratory analyses on inpatient and outpatient specimens.
- Ensures that all activities are conducted in accordance with acceptable clinical technology, administrative policy, regulatory and accreditation requirements and medical ethics.
- Correlates and interprets data based on an in-depth knowledge of technical, instrumental, and physiological conditions affecting test results.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:- Excellent command of oral and written English; positive interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills.
Educational Requirements:- Baccalaureate degree in a biological or physical science or Medical Technology training with at least six years of current laboratory training or experience OR have previously qualified or could have qualified as a General Supervisor under 42CFR [redacted] of the Federal Regulations published March 14, 1990 (55FR 9538) on or before February 28, 1992 and have at least six years of current laboratory training and experience.
License/Certification: - MT (ASCP), MT (HHS), CLS (NCA), M (ASCP), or equivalent.

Salary Range: $75,375.59-$116,702.21
