Supervisor, Assembly

Monday - Thursday, 4:45 AM to 3:15 PM

Starting Base Salary Range of $80,000 to $105,000 (DOE)

What You'll Be Doing as a Supervisor, Assembly:

Leads a team of Assembly Team Members to consistently meet expectations for safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability in a high-rate cleanroom production environment.

  • Plans and oversees work activities in Assembly. Prepares schedules and coordinates resource allocations. Provides daily general direction to Assembly team members to ensure proper priority and support is given to meet production requirements.
  • Supervises, mentors, and develops assigned employees. Provides training and work direction. Coaches and provides performance feedback. Maintains a positive team environment and champions and promotes the Skills Development Program (SDP).
  • Promotes safety with employees through Safety Awareness Programs. Ensures proper safety procedures, ergonomic standards, machine guarding and personal protective devices are in place to insure employee safety.
  • Reviews production and quality control reports and statistics to plan and modify department activities. Manages and reports on various KPI (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Coordinates with Value Stream teams on work flow changes and process improvements.
  • Coordinates with departmental Supervisors and staff to ensure that proper amounts of operational supplies and resources are available to support the production schedule.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the preparation of the department budget. Monitors and controls expenditures within budgeted limitations. Identifies opportunities for cost containment or reduction.
  • Actively participates as a member of the Sr. Manager's staff to assist in problem solving, continuous improvement, special projects and the support of managerial priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills and Experience You'll Need as a Supervisor, Assembly:

  • Two-year Associates Degree in business or related technical field and 10 years of related and progressive experience in a manufacturing environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in a leadership role. Demonstrated ability to effectively provide training, work direction, feedback, and maintain a successful team environment.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexible work style. Ability to balance shifting priorities, demands, and timelines when necessary.
  • Ability to engage and motivate team members and manage change effectively.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Office, with the ability to effectively utilize other software needed to perform work activities.
  • Familiarity with Lean Production concepts and Cleanroom Environments is a plus.


Work Environment for a Supervisor, Assembly:

Fine Motor Skills/ Manual Dexterity. Visual Acuity. Able to lift up to 35 pounds and over 35 pounds with assistance. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Ability to perform highly repetitive tasks. Able to use PPE.
