About the role

We are looking for a Superintendent Mine Control to lead our Mine Control team and drive operational excellence across mine dispatch, asset health monitoring, and communications systems. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical oversight of Mine Control operations, ensuring the effective utilization of technology, data, and communications to support safe, productive, and reliable mining operations.

This is a great opportunity for a driven and engaging leader to oversee Mine Control and maximize equipment performance and operational efficiency

Reporting to the Manager Mine Operations and working in an exciting and unique environment within the Iron Ore Company of Canada, you will:
  • Lead and develop the Mine Control team to support safe and efficient mining operations
  • Optimize fleet performance through real-time monitoring, dispatch systems, and operational analysis
  • Oversee production reporting, performance tracking, and achievement of operational targets
  • Establish and manage KPIs to improve productivity, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using operational data and analytics
  • Provide leadership for asset health and condition monitoring programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Ensure the reliable operation of mine communication systems, including radio, wireless, and network infrastructure
  • Coordinate maintenance, upgrades, and strategic improvements to critical mine technology and communications systems

About you
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in mining operations, mine dispatch, fleet management, or mine technology environments
  • Proven leadership experience leading multidisciplinary operational and technical teams in a mining or heavy industrial environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to leverage operational data to improve performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience with mine dispatch systems, asset health and condition monitoring programs, or industrial communications and network systems is considered an asset
