Full Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Superintendent, the Site Superintendent is responsible to run the day-to-day operations on the construction site. Responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, budget management, job site safety and maintaining daily reports that accurately track site progress.

Key Accountabilities

Collaborate with other team members to construct wood frame townhouses, duplexes, and single family homes, from start to finish, including but not limited to:
  • Demonstrates leadership in health and safety and environmental protection on the project.
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all site tasks, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Supervise and develop team members through regular feedback, training, and coaching.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all contracts and specified requirements including quality standards.
  • Leads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project's ongoing progression including maintaining daily reports.
  • Supervises on site workers to ensure their work is planned and performed efficiently.
  • Works directly with the Project Manager to develop, maintain, and drive the construction schedule.


Education & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Site Superintendent on wood frame multifamily projects.
  • Minimum 3 years as a Superintendent.
  • Strong computer skills and experience having worked with multiple platforms and operating systems such as Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail etc) and experience with Procore Construction Management Platform and BluBeam.
  • Relevant certifications such as: Gold Seal Certification (GSC), Carpentry Trade Qualification, or Occupational First Aid (OFA) are assets.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of subcontractors and tradespeople.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and building codes relevant to wood frame construction in British Columbia.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to guide safe work practices in a high pressure environment while maintaining project quality, schedule and budget.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism, integrity, and safety at all times.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in construction management software.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to Tsawwassen.
