Summary of the RoleAs a
Superintendent, you will be responsible for project oversight of ground up and retrofit projects. These projects will primarily consist of retail and restaurant projects, but can also include residential, alternative energy, and a variety of other ventures.
Responsibilities- Review project documents and verify their accuracy.
- Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
- Coordinate subcontractors work schedules and overall project plans.
- Provide technical direction and manage productivity.
- Manage quality and construction costs for multiple projects.
- Make key decisions associated with scheduling, safety, and budgets.
- Maintain all on-site documentation including contract documents and daily logs.
- Represent Core States Group to all related parties including: Architects, Engineers, Owners, Vendors, and municipal agencies.
- Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and company policies.
- Provide assistance to workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools or other equipment.

- A minimum of 5 years of superintendent experience, preferably with ground up and retrofit commercial projects such as retail or restaurants
- Demonstrated familiarity with local codes and ordinances.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma preferred, additional education a plus.
- Example (Ability to sit (or stand) at a desk for 6-8 hours a day; Ability to work on a computer for 6-8 hours a day.)
- Extensive national travel up to 100%
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
Work LocationThis role is for a remote employee located in California or Texas. There will be 100% travel mostly across the United States. This role comes with a company vehicle; however, you will also fly to projects as required.
