Full Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports and collaborates with the Project Manager on all aspects of project
  • Responsible for job set-up, communication, safety compliance, record-keeping, QC, project closeout and environmental and stormwater programs
  • Manages project demobilization and closeout
  • Assist in GH Phipps' risk management program
  • Assists in final approval of subcontract agreements
  • Responsible for developing and managing project schedule
  • Reviews project equipment selection through GH Phipps' Equipment Yard
  • Competent in construction processes and knowledge of building codes
  • Effectively leads and enforces project specific requirements
  • Responsible for material delivery schedules
  • Supports team member development
  • Maintains regular communication with team members and actively engages with General Superintendent in team support and problem-solving
  • Responsible for the completion of daily logs
  • Responsible for completion of the job start-up checklist
  • Enforces the details of the trade partner agreements and Attachments A, B and C
  • Responsible for weekly planners and short interval schedules
  • Leads preconstruction meetings with trade partners
  • Leads weekly trade partners' Foreman meetings
  • Responsible for site, building and interior layout control
  • Responsible for adherence to shop drawings and project documents
  • Responsible for managing third party testing and resolution of non-conformance
  • Responsible for Architect/Consultant's observation reports and resolution of non-conformance
  • Verifies that JHAs are utilized on the jobsite
  • Verifies material delivery/procurement
  • Responsible for GH Phipps' SDS program
  • Responsible for as-built/record drawings and specifications
  • Provides constructability reviews for each set of progress drawings
  • Reviews and understands soils reports
  • Attends pre-award meetings with all major scopes of work
  • Develops the site logistics plan
  • Understands details of owner contracts
  • Manages permits and inspections for AHJs
  • Directs GH Phipps' Quality Assurance Program
  • Is responsible for full implementation of company safety, risk management, environmental and stormwater programs
  • Fosters a positive reputation in the industry by building relationships and identifies project opportunities aligned with strategic plans, and goals
  • Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field experience

EXPERIENCE

7+ years of commercial construction experience required

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficient in construction project management software, PROCORE preferred
  • Proficient in document markup, Bluebeam preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge and use of Scheduling software, ASTA preferred


CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

  • OSHA 30 Certification is required
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Advanced Stormwater Management Supervisor Certificate
  • Scaffolding Competent Person
  • Properly trained in Fall Protection, Excavation, Precast & Steel Erection, Confined space


EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Verifiable work references
  • Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens
  • All positions at GH Phipps are considered safety sensitive. Position may be required to visit a construction site at any time
  • In person, regular attendance required


SALARY AND BENEFITS

The salary range for this position is $102,000 - 130,000annually and is dependent in experience and title/rank of position offered.

Compensation

Our compensation package includes a competitive salary, participation in our employee stock ownership program (ESOP) on your first day of hire, and eligibility in our annual bonus program. Annual ESOP contributions and bonuses are dependent on company performance and are not guaranteed from year to year. Both ESOP and bonuses are calculated on one's eligible compensation for the year.

Holidays and Paid-Time Off

Employees get seven paid holidays (designated) and one paid floating holiday.

PTO may be used for vacation, sick time, or other personal matters and is based on years of employment and years of experience.
