Job Summary

Syntax is seeking an experienced SuccessFactors Consultant to serve as a hands-on application expert across multiple SuccessFactors modules. In this role, you will support full life cycle implementations, lead design discussions, translate business requirements into effective solutions, and help clients optimize their HR technology landscape. You will work closely with project leads, technical teams, and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes that align with best practices and business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a hands-on application expert in the SuccessFactors suite of products.
  • Lead and support full life cycle implementations across SuccessFactors modules, with emphasis on Employee Central, Compensation, Variable Pay, and Onboarding.
  • Apply deep HR process knowledge to design practical, scalable solutions that align with business and technology requirements.
  • Lead client design workshops and guide solution design practices and standards aligned to SAP best practices.
  • Translate business goals into appropriate solutions while assessing feasibility, risks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot issues and recommend alternatives when business requirements conflict with standard system functionality.
  • Prepare, review, and support project deliverables while staying within project scope.
  • Support functional and technical leads during workshops and project activities.
  • Design and support proof of concepts to validate proposed technical solutions.
  • Provide impact assessments related to Quarterly Releases and other platform changes.
  • Assist with workshop and training materials as needed.
  • Gather, analyze, and document client business requirements and objectives.
  • Develop system configurations that meet client specifications while adhering to best practices and implementation standards.
  • Support post-go-live application activities under a Managed Services model.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and the ongoing development of the SAP practice.
  • Proactively identify process improvements and provide clear, concise solution definitions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of SAP SuccessFactors experience.
  • 3+ full life cycle implementations of Employee Central, Compensation, Variable Pay, and Onboarding.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of at least two SuccessFactors modules.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions, processes, and business practices.
  • Experience with data migration and data management in SuccessFactors.
  • Experience with SAP Activate Methodology for SuccessFactors.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system issues and provide effective resolution options.
  • Ability to assess existing solutions and recommend optimizations based on system functionality and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a project team environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Professionally certified in Employee Central, Compensation, and Variable Pay.
  • Additional SuccessFactors certifications highly desired, including Onboarding, Time, Benefits, or Recruiting.
  • Experience with Employee Central Time Off, Timesheet, Benefits, and/or Time Tracking.
  • Industry certifications such as PMP, SAP HR, or ITIL are a plus.
  • Experience supporting post-go-live services or managed services engagements.
  • Exposure to complex enterprise environments and client-facing transformation programs.
  • An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.


Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • SuccessFactors certifications in Employee Central, Compensation, and Variable Pay required.
  • Additional SuccessFactors certifications such as Onboarding, Time, Benefits, or Recruiting strongly preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, SAP HR, or ITIL are desirable.
