Lockheed Martin is seeking a Subcontract Senior Program Manager for a position in Orlando, FL to lead a team of subcontract management professionals responsible for the overall performance of the Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP) / Sniper program.

The individual will be responsible for providing leadership to accomplish all program and contract performance requirements, inclusive of schedule, cost, and schedule. The individual will interface with the program and supplier senior leadership teams to ensure accomplishment of all applicable program and supplier requirements - to specifically include technical performance of procured hardware and systems; supplier production and delivery performance; supplier budget performance; as well as meeting or exceeding supplier Affordability requirements. This effort includes working within an established Supplier Management Team (SMT) structure. The role will require occasional business travel.

Additionally, this individual will manage subordinate teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types and programs, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies. Directs and manages all costs, quality, schedule, financial, and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the system. Develops sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs, execution, and risk management. Acts as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office. Responsible for and directs all phases of the subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through requests for proposals, transition to program startup, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution, and contract closeout. Makes informed decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor. Establishes milestone objectives to manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications. Leads a cross-functional team, normally composed of engineers, quality, and procurement personnel, to ensure successful subcontract execution and program delivery.

The program is a very dynamic program in support of a US DoD prime contract. Effects of decisions are long lasting and heavily influence future course of organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have a current DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation completed within the past five years
  • Experience with US DoD subcontract management
  • Demonstrated leadership and management of critical, major subcontracts within a US DoD environment, and procurement professionals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters which often requires coordination between functional organizations
  • Experience with the procurement of specialized materials, complex assemblies, and equipment within Defense or Aerospace industries
  • Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP), with associated knowledge of FAR / DFAR requirements
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, problem solving skills, knowledge of contract types, and
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Team oriented with demonstrated organizational skills, and ability to make business-based decisions
  • Self-motivated, ownership of tasks and accountable, work independently and in a team environment and work with all levels of management
  • Ability to travel

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $158700.00 - $294700.00
