Full Job Description
Job Summary

The Studio Operations Manager is the operational engine and lead practitioner of our in-house creative production team. This is a full-time, permanent, remote position. You will be responsible for unifying a high-velocity production ecosystem, overseeing the end-to-end project lifecycle, and ensuring that every piece of content is masterfully tracked, assigned, and delivered on time.

This role is built for a battle-tested leader who thrives in fast, high-pressure environments. You will manage team infrastructure, command daily production pipelines, navigate cross-functional stakeholders, and proactively solve bottlenecks before they impact delivery. You'll manage a team of 17 direct and skip-level reports, supporting team growth and planning.

Your time will span heavy operational execution, resource management, time/utilization tracking, and reporting. As the Studio Operations Manager, you will help evolve scalable workflows, including project management platforms like Airtable, that thrive under extreme velocity, while bringing strong AI experience to help bridge ambitious strategy with scaled execution.

Studio Operations & Project Logistics
  • Lead end-to-end studio operations, acting as air traffic control for all incoming creative production requests, daily priority lists, and delivery timelines across both workstreams
  • Own and maintain the team's Airtable-based workflow system (built by dedicated technical resources) for request intake, tracking, and reporting, in partnership with those technical resources on structure and views
  • Coordinate with the team's core production tools, including Figma, Frame.io, and Lucid, to keep review and delivery cycles moving
  • Run cross-functional standups and operational check-ins to maintain accountability and clear blockers
  • Act as the main point of contact for real-time stakeholder and scheduling bottlenecks, resolving competing priorities across both workstreams
  • Track operational and output metrics and report on team health and delivery performance to leadership

Resource Allocation & Capacity Management
  • Track real-time utilization for a multidisciplinary creative team (designers, editors, producers, copywriters) to keep the team at capacity without burnout
  • Proactively forecast flex/freelance staffing needs ahead of high-volume periods, including seasonal event spikes
  • Identify when the team is at or over capacity and surface it to stakeholders early, pushing back on overallocation where needed
  • Partner directly with the ASG Resource Manager to source and onboard flex talent quickly for priority projects and volume spikes

AI Integration & Innovation
  • Maintain a working understanding of generative AI tools relevant to the team's creative workflows and their practical use cases for each discipline (design, editing, copy)
  • Identify opportunities to deploy AI tools to speed up repetitive production tasks, without needing to personally generate assets with them
  • Bring a general AI-optimist mindset and a track record of integrating at least one AI tool into a prior workflow is a strong plus

Competencies
  • High-pressure execution: composure and decisiveness under tight deadlines and shifting priorities across 2 concurrent workstreams
  • Proactive problem-solving: anticipates bottlenecks and capacity shortfalls before they affect delivery
  • Stakeholder management: comfortable pushing back constructively on overallocation and managing expectations across multiple stakeholders
  • Operational rigor: strong process discipline is the top priority for this role, ahead of creative/maker skills
  • Resourceful capacity planning: strong grasp of workload distribution and fast flex-staffing tactics

Required Experience
  • Studio Operations Background: 10 or more years leading studio operations, production traffic management, or project management inside a high-volume agency, in-house creative team, or fast-paced production environment
  • Volume Management: Demonstrated experience managing 15 or more concurrent deliverables at once, including experience handling volume spikes of 30 or more
  • Social Media Production Experience: Background operating within a social media content production environment, with an understanding of platform-specific formats, fast turnaround cycles, and delivery expectations
  • Airtable (Must Have): Strong, hands-on Airtable experience required, comfortable navigating and maintaining workflow systems, adding and adjusting views and fields, and partnering with technical resources on structure and automations. Schema design, scripting, or systems architecture is not required or expected
  • Figma (Must Have): Experience with Figma required for reviewing and giving feedback on creative work
  • Premiere (Working Knowledge): Basic familiarity with Adobe Premiere required, enough to understand cuts and scope task timing. Extensive hands-on editing experience is not required
  • Frame.io & Lucid: Experience with Frame.io and Lucid, or directly comparable creative review and collaboration tools, also expected
  • Resource Management: Hands-on experience tracking real-time team bandwidth, mapping utilization across a multidisciplinary creative team, and coordinating with a central resource manager to bring in flex or freelance talent quickly
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Proven track record managing multidisciplinary creative talent (designers, editors, producers, copywriters), including direct and skip-level reports

Preferred Experience
  • B2B Marketing Background: Familiarity with the B2B marketing landscape and digital advertising trends, particularly agency or in-house teams supporting B2B advertiser or product marketing content
  • Maker Background: Past hands-on creative production experience (editor, designer, or similar), not required but valued for added empathy with the creative team's workflow
  • Podcast Experience: Podcast production or post-production experience
  • AI Integration: Direct experience integrating a generative AI tool into a creative production workflow

Position Details
  • Position type: regular full-time
  • Location: 100% remote
  • Reporting: manages a team of 17 direct and skip-level reports, supporting team growth and planning, in addition to owning process and priorities across both workstreams
