Full Job Description
Title: Student Services Administrator 12-Month

Position Summary: Wayland High School seeks a skilled, experienced, innovative, and dynamic leader to join the building and district administrative team as a Student Services Administrator. The Student Services Administrator is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of special education and 504 Plans including meeting facilitation, IEP/504 Plan development and implementation, and high-quality programming supports and services.

Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):

  • Assists with the supervision and evaluation of all special education staff including teachers, related service providers, and teaching assistants.
  • Oversees the Team process and adherence to Individual Education Programs based on eligibility guidelines and in accordance with Federal and State requirements.
  • Chairs initial and three-year evaluation meetings and serves as the chair of other Team meetings as determined by the Director.
  • Ensures that special education processes from initial eligibility to IEP development are administered with equity and excellence.
  • Reviews all IEPs, amendments, N1 forms, and progress reports prior to distribution to parents.
  • Provides proactive parent outreach regarding matters relevant to special education and 504 plans.
  • Coordinates and ensures the implementation of department policies, procedures, and practices with respect to special education and 504s.
  • Attends high-need Team, 504, ILT, CCT, and ALRT meetings.
  • Collaborates with building leadership to coordinate service delivery and ensure implementation of MCAS testing programs.
  • Provides individual professional development and coaching for special education staff
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Qualifications:
  • Massachusetts licensure as a Special Education Administrator required.
  • Master's degree or higher in Education Administration, Special Education, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in education, including teaching, Team facilitation, and administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations.
  • Experience with diverse populations and a strong commitment to Wayland's goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • SEI Endorsement: Evidence of Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement is mandatory.

Work Schedule and Compensation:
  • Work Schedule: 2026-2027 School Year; school-year schedule and total of 200 days
  • Location: Wayland High School
  • Salary: Commensurate with the applicable public school service and experience ranging $130,000 - $135,000
