Full Job Description
The Role

We have an immediate opportunity for a Structural Forensic Vice President with interests in structural forensic investigation, litigation support, risk loss consulting, structural repair, and retrofit design. This individual will be expected to execute structural investigations of existing buildings and design remedial repairs for deficient conditions. The investigations include failure cause and origin analysis, life cycle cost and feasibility analyses, risk loss insurance, and claims response, and litigation support. The candidate will be required to provide direction to, and review the work product of, junior-level staff, coordinate with other project managers on interdisciplinary efforts, support marketing efforts, and develop and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Lead or support forensic investigations related to structural failures, damage assessment, and cause/origin studies
  • Prepare clear, defensible technical reports and expert opinions
  • Communicate with clients to understand project requirements
  • Complete technical and investigative reports to support forensic findings and prepare materials related to presentations
  • Manage and mentor other design team members
  • Perform peer reviews and condition assessments, including order of magnitude cost estimating
  • Lead and support business development initiatives, including industry presentations and participation at events
  • Serve as primary client liaison, managing contracts, scoping, and delivery


Requirements
  • Degree (Master's preferred) in structural engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer and/or SE License required
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally
  • Experience serving as an expert witness preferred
